Payroll team to Ride The Night for women's cancer charities

Huge congratulations to our intrepid Payroll Team, who successfully completed their 50km night-time cycle challenge, and have raised almost £3,000 for women’s cancer charities in the process! We are incredibly proud of you all.

Riding The Night for women’s cancer charities
This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the extraordinary efforts of our all-female Payroll Team, who are gearing up to Ride The Night and raise vital funds for women’s cancer charities.
Kath, Mel, Jackie and Helen have each signed up to ride 50km across London at night on 29th April, to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Now, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust, and Ovarian Cancer Action. The team of colleagues, none of whom describe themselves as ‘serious cyclists’, are challenging themselves to join the Women V Cancer ride to ensure that these charities can be there for people facing cancer.
Statistics from Cancer Research UK show that every year in the UK, over 182,000 women face a cancer diagnosis. Kath recently had surgery for cancer, followed by a gruelling 6 months of chemotherapy, and knows how tough a cancer diagnosis can be.
“I’m lucky to now be one year cancer-free, but others are still suffering.
I’ve been training hard in the gym all winter for this challenge, and I’m trying to raise as much money as I can to support others who haven’t been as lucky as me. Please support us if you can, by donating to these vital cancer charities.”
The team have until the end of March to meet their fundraising targets, as they continue to train for the Women V Cancer challenge at the end of April. We couldn’t be prouder of their efforts, and wish them much success in their fundraising, and all the best for the big night!
