Grovelands is officially OUTSTANDING
Residents and colleagues at Grovelands residential, respite and dementia care home in Yeovil are celebrating after once again being awarded the coveted ‘Outstanding’ rating by the Care Quality Commission.
The care home, which has held the top CQC (Care Quality Commission) rating for the past 8 years, renewed its Outstanding status following an unannounced inspection in July this year.
Praise for care and colleagues
In their official report, published this month, the CQC especially commended Grovelands for being ‘Caring’ and ‘Well-led’, and praised the home for having “a deeply embedded culture of continuous learning and improvement, driven by a highly committed and passionate registered manager and deputy manager.”
The report noted that residents at Grovelands were “supported by a consistent, compassionate, and dedicated staff team who demonstrated kindness, respect, and genuine care in their interactions”, and that “staff consistently promoted people’s independence, dignity, and choice, fostering a culture of empowerment and inclusion”.
A continued trend of positive feedback
The renewed CQC rating continues a trend of positive independent feedback for the home, which has seen Grovelands rated 4.9/5 on Google, and 9.9/10 from verified customer reviews on carehome.co.uk.
A recent Google reviewer commented:
“What an exceptional home!!! Whilst visiting a family member who is being cared for during his final stages of life, I can only say that they are amazing and a blessing to him, such dedication and determination to give him the very best possible care, what an amazing team of professionals.
I work as a senior manager for another care provider nationally and can safely say that the team here are absolutely incredible and if I could box what they do and take it away I would!!!! Praise to the team and management team for leading such an incredible home.”
