Specialist care at Cooksons Court is OUTSTANDING
We’re thrilled that Cooksons Court, our specialist nursing home in Yeovil has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Cooksons Court provides specialist nursing care, as well as short-term respite breaks and longer-term residential care, within a bright, comfortable and welcoming environment. The purpose-built home, which celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2025, is part of the award-winning, not-for-profit Somerset Care Group, and is located a short distance from its sister dementia care home, Grovelands, which is also rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC.
Outstanding feedback from care regulators
At its latest inspection, the CQC praised Cooksons Court for treating people ‘with kindness and compassion’, supporting individual preferences and promoting both choice and dignity in care.
Cooksons Court residents ‘felt safe and were fully involved in planning their care’, and were ‘comfortable and relaxed’ in the home. Relatives of those receiving care ‘overwhelmingly praised the team for supporting loved ones at a time when they were most vulnerable’.
The home environment was assessed as being ‘spotless clean and well maintained’.
The CQC’s report concluded that:
‘Everyone we spoke with without exception told us the home was lovely and the team were wonderful.’
