Our Care Services – Empowering independence, enriching lives
At Way Ahead Care, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to live life on their terms; safely, confidently, and with dignity. Our home care services are tailored to support independence at home, with three core offerings:
Home Care
Whether you need a helping hand with daily tasks or more specialised personal care, our Home Care services are here to support you. From light housekeeping and shopping assistance to companionship and personal care, we’re committed to making life easier and brighter in your own home, or in one of the Extra Care Housing (ECH) schemes we support.

Live-in Care
Enjoy peace of mind with round-the-clock support from a dedicated care professional living in your home. Live-in Care is a compassionate and practical alternative to residential or nursing care, allowing you to stay in familiar surroundings without compromise.
Support Services
Designed for individuals with learning disabilities or mental health needs, our Support Services promote independence and wellbeing. We assist with everyday living, from managing finances and building life skills, to connecting with local networks and community resources.

Independent reviews
You can read all of the latest, independently-verified reviews for our home care services on a dedicated reviews platform called homecare.co.uk. As this platform sits entirely outside of Way Ahead Care and the wider Somerset Care Group, you can be confident that reviews reflect the genuine experiences of our those we care for.
Regulated services
All of our care services are registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). They periodically carry out unannounced inspections to monitor and assess the services which we provide, and we work with them to implement any recommendations they may make to continuously improve our service.

Assessment
Once you have agreed that we are the right fit in supporting you with your needs, we will book in an assessment with you. The assessment is a chance for us to get to know one another, and to understand all the things that are needed to support you to live the life you choose, while remaining independent in your own home.

We are welcomed into your home
With a care plan agreed and start dates set, we can now provide you with the help you need, and consider it an honour and a privilege to be welcomed into your home.
