How to assess quality of nursing care

One of the easiest ways to assess the quality of nursing care, is to look at the nursing care home’s latest report from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The CQC carry out audits and unannounced inspections to monitor and assess the nursing care provided, and publish their findings online. The nursing care home will be rated against a set of criteria to establish how safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led their services are, and then given an overall rating based on these results.

All of Somerset Care’s nursing care homes have been rated as ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission.

Another way to assess the quality of nursing care, is to look for independently-verified customer reviews for your chosen nursing care home. Carehome.co.uk verifies and publishes reviews from genuine customers of all CQC-registered nursing care homes, to provide you with a helpful overview of customer experiences.

Carehome.co.uk reviews can be a helpful way of discovering what day-to-day life is like for residents of a particular nursing care home, as well as a useful insight into the experience of their visiting friends and loved ones.

Recognised as a UK Top 20 Care Home Group in the 2024 Carehome.co.uk Awards, Somerset Care is proud to have inspired such positive feedback from our customers.

We share all of the latest independent customer reviews for each of our nursing care homes on our website, to help you make an informed decision about nursing care which meets your needs and suits your preferences.
