Three cheers for Lavender Court's triple celebration
Residents and colleagues at Lavender Court nursing home in Taunton have been celebrating a trio of exciting announcements – a new manager, a Good CQC inspection and 5 stars for food hygiene!
At a party on 24th April, the home officially welcomed their new Registered Manager, Duewanittar Munemo, whilst also celebrating being rated Good in all areas by the Care Quality Commission.
Top marks for food hygiene
The icing on the cake followed an unannounced inspection on the same day, when Lavender Court was also awarded the maximum 5-stars for food hygiene standards – amounting to a triple whammy of great news for the team and their residents.
Good in all areas
Part of the not-for-profit Somerset Care Group, Lavender Court is a purpose-built care home specialising in delivering high-quality nursing, dementia, respite and residential care.
The CQC’s report recognised that “People received care and support from a service which was well managed”, and in an environment which was “clean and well maintained”. Residents told the CQC that Lavender Court is “lovely, a wonderful place to stay”, with one person saying “This is my home, I’m happy here. I wouldn’t be happy anywhere else.”

The new Registered Manager of Lavender Court, Duewanittar Munemo, describes what it means to be at the helm of the home:
