Renewed 5-star food hygiene ratings for Cary Brook and Green Tree Court
Congratulations to two of our Somerset Care Group care homes in two different counties, who last week each retained their 5-star food hygiene ratings following unannounced inspections by local Environmental Health Officers.
Recognition of high standards
Cary Brook in Castle Cary, Somerset, and Green Tree Court in Exeter, Devon, were each awarded the maximum 5-star (‘very good’ rating) for the way in which they store, handle and prepare food, as well as the cleanliness of their kitchen facilities.
Both teams are rightly very proud that the high food hygiene standards which they set for themselves have once again been officially recognised at their latest unannounced inspection.

Food to nourish body and soul
Food is a very important part of the care home experience for all of our residents, and as an organisation we strive to serve home-cooked meals which are not only prepared in a safe and hygienic environment, but which are varied and nutritious, prepared using local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients where possible.
