Will I have to sign a contract for my residential care? What am I agreeing to?

Before you move in to one of our care homes, you (or your nominated representative) will be asked to sign our Contract of Care. This is a document which sets out the terms and conditions relating to your stay with us, explains what you can expect from the care that we will provide, and includes certain legal clauses that you will want to be aware of. You will be provided with this in advance, so that you have plenty of time to read through the contract and familiarise yourself with its contents.

Our Contract of Care

Our Contract of Care is not there to confuse or to catch you out, it is there to provide absolute clarity about what we can expect from each other. We want you to feel comfortable with this, so have included an example contract for you to read in your own time.

You may wish to pay special attention to the sections about deposits, end of contract arrangements, insurance and hospital stays, as we find that these are areas which new residents and their families find particularly useful.

Your contract will of course be specific to your own particular circumstances, however if you have any questions about the example version shared above, or the paperwork surrounding your own stay, please contact us and we will be happy to help.
