How does home care work?

Carried out by the home care service provider, this is a way of getting to know the individual who will receive home care and understanding the type of support that they need to live well.
As well as taking into account any medical conditions, mobility support requirements and personal care needs, the care assessment considers the well-being of the individual, their interests and preferences. This approach of understanding the whole person ensures that their emotional, physical and medical needs can be safely and effectively met by their home care package.
Following the care assessment, the home care provider will arrange a package of bespoke home care to enable you to thrive in your own home.
