Stockmoor Lodge residents spread Easter joy with food bank donation

Residents and carers at Stockmoor Lodge in Bridgwater have been spreading a little Easter joy, by collecting and donating Easter eggs for their local food bank.

Residents were moved to set up an Easter egg collection station within the nursing home, after considering that financial worries might lead to some children in their local community missing out on Easter treats, this year.

An egg-cellent array of Easter treats

Over recent weeks, residents, colleagues and visitors to the home have amassed a selection of delicious Easter eggs, which were collected by John, a volunteer at Bridgwater Food Bank, just in time for the Easter weekend.

An ongoing connection

This latest donation builds on the existing connection that Stockmoor Lodge has with Bridgwater Food Bank, and follows on from previous gifts made by residents and colleagues to support members of their local community at Christmas and as part of their Harvest Festival.

At the heart of the local community

Part of the not-for-profit Somerset Care Group, Stockmoor Lodge is proud to support its local community, and has built strong ties with nearby schools, groups, community organisations and charities, including Bridgwater Food Bank.
