Croft House artists in residence prepare for gallery exhibition
Residents at Croft House, our specialist dementia and residential care home in Williton, are putting pen and paintbrush to paper ahead of an exhibition of their original artworks which opens next weekend.
Their seaside-themed art pieces and poetry will be on display at Mayfly Studio in Watchet for a week-long gallery takeover from Saturday 8th July. Entrance to Mayfly Studio is free, with the gallery open daily between 11am-4pm.
Any proceeds from the sale of artworks will go to the Croft House Residents’ Amenities Fund, which pays for special treats, trips out and celebrations for the home’s residents.
A dream come true
Croft House manager, Lisa Clarke, explains:
“There is so much creativity and artistic talent amongst our residents that we wanted to put this on display for the local community.
“Having the opportunity to fill a gallery with their works of art and poetry is a dream come true for our residents, and we can’t wait for them to see their creativity on display.
“Thank you so much to Mayfly Studio for hosting our Croft House seaside art exhibition, and to everyone who chooses to purchase an artwork during the event.”
