Complete with all the specialist care and support you need to stay safe and well, the special offer respite breaks allow you to enjoy not just a change of scene, but also two days free* when you stay for a week or more before the end of September 2023.
Choose a coastal getaway at Wyndham House in Minehead, close proximity to Exmoor National Park at Pulsford Lodge in Wiveliscombe, a sense of history during a period house stay at Rowden House in Frome, a town centre break at Lavender Court in the county town of Taunton, a ground-floor bedroom opening onto a sunny courtyard at Critchill Court in Frome, or a traditional welcome at Cary Brook, in the bustling market town of Castle Cary.

What is included?
We offer tailored respite care and dementia support to suit your individual needs, and help you to enjoy a relaxing break. How you choose to spend your time with us is entirely up to you! You are welcome to use all of the facilities and join in with as many of the home’s scheduled activities and events. All of your meals are included, and home-cooked using high-quality ingredients to meet your dietary requirements and preferences.
A respite stay includes absolutely everything that you would expect from a longer-term stay in one of our specialist residential care homes:
- A fully furnished room in one of our well-equipped care homes, which you can personalise to help you feel at home;
- All of your meals, drinks and snacks (tailored to meet your preferences and dietary requirements);
- 24/7 Individual care and support including help with medication and personal care;
- Full use of all of the home’s indoor and outdoor communal areas, garden and facilities;
- Participation in as many of the home’s activities, events and entertainment as you choose;
- A warm welcome for any visitors you may like to invite;
- Utilities, linen, laundry, housekeeping and cleaning.

All of our residential care homes across Somerset offer respite breaks all year round, but our special offer respite break only applies to new stays of 7 days or more booked at the homes below, when taken before 30th September 2023.

What are the terms and conditions?
To qualify for two free days during your stay, all you need to do is make a new respite booking of 7 consecutive days or more at participating Somerset Care residential homes, where your full stay takes place before 30th September 2023.
Bookings must be made by calling 0800 8174 990, or emailing [email protected].
We regret that this offer cannot be applied to existing bookings, those of less than 7 days, those at alternative Somerset Care settings not participating in this offer, or those occuring outside of the date range specified above.
Your two free days will be discounted from your valid respite stay at the time of booking, and cannot be ‘banked’ or transferred to another stay or a different location.
This offer is not valid at other Somerset Care settings, and cannot be used for other services offered by Somerset Care, Realise the Halcon Centre or our community teams.
This offer is subject to availability, and redeemable on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis. We reserve the right to amend, alter or withdraw this offer at any time.
