The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is pleased to provide CARE badges to staff that work in the adult social care sector, whether a carer, nurse, or support staff including cleaners, caterers, assistants, occupational therapists and so on.
The badges are designed to "Recognise the vital role that adult social care staff have played in our national response to the Covid-19 outbreak and will continue to play supporting those who need care. [The DHSC] believe that CARE badges will encourage a clearer common identity, greater recognition and a stronger voice for our vitally important adult social care workforce.”
With the view that the badges create a legacy that stretches beyond the current crisis, the CARE logo aims to become a brand that amplifies the importance of social care, and acknowledges the professionalism of the adult social care sector.
We could not be prouder of our Somerset Care workforce, who has demonstrated resilience, adaptability and professionalism at all times, and fully embraced the changes stowed upon us. Their priority has remained to ensure that those in our care continue to live the life they choose, while kept safe from the threat of coronavirus. Therefore we will be wearing the CARE badges with pride.
