New Community Nursing Contract begins

Somerset Care at Home is extending its reach into North Somerset after beginning a contract with the county’s Primary Care Trust. We have provided care and support to people in their own homes in the South West for many years, and this new contract signifies a development both in terms of our geographical reach and the services we are providing. The contract is part of the Continuing Healthcare Funding and entails supporting individuals with health needs including palliative care, and this community-nursing element is a new direction for Somerset Care at Home. The Somerset Care Group has a great deal of experience in the field, offering palliative care in the community and nursing care at six care homes.
Director of Care Services Alyson Martin said, “Everyone at Somerset Care at Home is delighted that we have been appointed to work collaboratively with North Somerset PCT on this contract. We are working hard to build effective relationships with our new colleagues, and look forward to providing an excellent service for the people of North Somerset.”
