Direct Payments
Direct Payments are payments made to you by Social Services when they have assessed that you need care services. You can then use the money to pay for the care services that you require. They give you choice of how, when and by whom you receive your care. They also give you flexibility to amend your services to fit your changing needs, and the opportunity to save hours for special activities that you could not otherwise do without help.
When you have been assessed or during your review, your Social Worker will talk to you in more depth about Direct Payments to make sure that they are right for you.
