Welcome to Calway House, this beautiful home surrounded by lovely garden areas offers the most modern and comfortable surroundings to its residents who live here. Our homely environment is enhanced by our lovely garden, where you can enjoy the flowers and trees and each others company. We have dedicated activity staff who are always coming up with new ideas to entertain our residents. We have a regular programme of activites and outings to places of interest. Our staff are friendly, well trained, and work as part of a team.

Introduction
Calway House is situated in a quiet residential area just a mile from the centre of Taunton, a town with varied shopping and leisure amenities. Besides its convenient location, Calway House is popular because we offer the highest standards of professional 24-hour care, either for short breaks or longer term care.
Accommodation
Calway House has been completely rebuilt as a larger, modern facility providing self-contained residential, nursing and dementia care. The new home is designed in groups of 15 rooms, and each group has its own lounge and dining facilities to offer a homely, intimate atmosphere in a convenient location.
All of our bedrooms are furnished to a high standard but you are welcome to bring in additional furniture to your room, if you prefer. The accommodation consists of spacious single rooms, all with en-suite shower rooms and toilets, offering permanent accommodation. Ground-floor rooms have patio doors giving direct access to private patio areas and shared landscaped gardens.

A hardworking and conscientious team of qualified care and housekeeping staff provide 24-hour care. All Somerset Care staff receive full induction and on-going training to ensure that we provide the best possible service. Many of our staff hold NVQ qualifications, and our commitment to training and investment in our staff has led to us being awarded the prestigious Investor in People (IIP) award.
